Geila Hocherman - The Next Big Thing in Kosher Cooking!

Geila Hocherman has been cooking since she was a kid, sort of. When her parents were sleeping late one Sunday morning she was unable to control herself, and made herself cozy in the kitchen. She and her brother, then her partner in crime, almost burned down the house. Well two cooking degrees later, including Paris's Cordon Bleu, has changed all that. Now Geila brings down the house with her food instead of destroying it.

Her culinary journeys set off a spark in her, almost a decade ago, when she dreamed about making a cookbook exclusively of forbidden dishes, only hers was going to be kosher. While she clearly understood what it took to make world class dishes kosher, it took another ten years until the kosher food market expanded enough for her to make her dream a reality. The explosion of kosher ingredients that were formerly unobtainable, grew to the point where combined with Geila knack for substituting flavors and textures, almost any dish became a kosher reality.

Geila's new book The Kosher Revolution will undoubtedly spark a new trend in Kosher cooking, where kosherizing recipes will bring a wave of new dishes to our Shabbos and every day table. Geila's book has 95 recipes that you could only have dreamed of. It's value is not only these 95 but the unlimited amount of dishes you'll be able to make once you've read through her thorough guide to kosherizing recipes. The techniques you will learn will change you outlook, your kitchen, and your table, forever.

Geila's book comes in two versions one for the US and one for Europe which use the metric system. You can see Geila's website at We are very excited that Geila will open a Kitchen on Culinary Kosher and look forward to many great recipes.  Follow Geila Hocherman to enter the raffle to win her new cookbook free.  While you are there you can check out the first four recipes she added to Culinary Kosher.
