Profiteroles With White Chocolate Mousse And Chocolate Sauce
An elegant and surprisingly easy dessert to make, profiteroles (or little cream puffs) can be filled with virtually anything you like, both savory and sweet.
Cream Puff:
¾ stick margarine (or butter)
¾ cup water
1 teaspoon salt
¾ cup flour
2 tablespoons sugar
3 eggs

Vanilla Mousse:
½ cup non dairy topping (or heavy cream)
9 ounces white chocolate, melted

Chocolate Sauce:
½ cup non dairy topping
7 ounces milk (or semisweet) dark chocolate

Helpful Hints
Tip: You can add more sugar to the profiterole batter if you want a sweeter dough, but keep in mind that the filling is pretty sweet.

what is the yield to this recipe? and can I use crsico instead of margarine?

we tried both maragarine and butter but never with crisco so im not sure how it would come out

This is similar to a dessert we ate in a restaurant many, many years ago. I used to make it for our Rosh Chodesh dessert when our children were small. Since I haven't made it for years, I had forgotten about it, but seeing your recipe brought back memories of this great dessert. Instead of using cream filling, I used parve ice cream (homemade) and topped with chocolate syrup.
