Helpful Hints
Make-Ahead Tip: Dip several weeks in advance and store at room temperature, covered. Or wrap individually to give as gifts and favors. Place the chocolate-dipped end of each spoon inside a small cellophane treat bag and tie off with ribbon.
Decorating Ideas

• Easy Embellishments: Before chocolate hardens, decorate spoons with crushed peppermint or rock candy, sprinkles, mini marshmallows or crystal sugars.
Tip: Enhance the deep, complex flavor of dark chocolate with a dusting of sea salt.
• Chocolate Drizzles: Melt semisweet, white or colored chocolate as directed above, then transfer to a plastic bag. Snip off one corner. Using a back and forth motion, drizzle over spoons.
• Double-Dipped: Once set, dip spoons halfway into a different type of chocolate. For an elegant touch, dip them at an angle.
• Marbleized: Drizzle a small amount of melted semisweet chocolate over a bowl of melted white chocolate. Dip spoons, gently swirling to coat. Don’t swirl or stir too much, as the chocolates will mix rather than marble.
• Flavored: Drizzle or double-dip spoons in melted mint, cinnamon, butterscotch or peanut butter chips.
