This recipe was given to me by one of my Indian friends.
It is great served over rice or veggies.
1 Cup Masur Dal (orange lentils)
1 1/2 Cups boiling water
2 sml onions - diced
2 Tablespoons cumin seeds (or ground cumin, if preferred)
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 teaspoon turmeric
1 teaspoon Osem paareve chicken flavored broth
2 Tablespoons vegetable oil

make sure you use Orange lentils. The brown ones do not cook in the same way
