This is a great marinade that tenderizes whatever kind of meat you make. Got it from my niece. I believe it's originally from a cookbook put out by Satmar.
2 onions, sliced
4 cloves garlic
a package of onionsoup powder ( ab. 5 T)
½ c. ketchup
1-2 t. mustard
½ c. brown sugar
½ c. white wine
garlic powder
onion powder

Helpful Hints
I used 3 T onionsoup (Israeli) which was plenty. I recommend using 1 cup of the boiling water, and if I let the meat simmer on the stovetop, I often have to add more water.
I have used tomato paste instead of ketchup, and made this recipe for Pesach without the mustard. It always comes out great.
