No Fry General Tao Chicken
Most general tao recipes call for cornstarch and deep-frying. The uniqueness of this recipe is that neither are used.
Adapted from Leah Schapira's Fresh & Easy Cookbook, this recipe will show you an alternative way to making easy and delicious oven baked general tao chicken.
1 and a half pounds of chicken breasts, cut into nugget sizes
a half a cup of flour
oil for frying
a half a cup of sugar
1/4 cup vinegar
3 Tbsp Soy sauce
5 cloves garlic
1 TBSP Sesame oil (vegetable oil will work as well)
3 TBSP water
1 TBSP cornstarch (I used 2 TBSP flour instead, and it worked just fine)
sesame seeds for garnishing
