Blended Fruit Soup
This is a GREAT way to use up all that extraneous fruit that no one wants to eat, without having to make it into another kugel (okay, that's a great recipe too, but it'll have to wait for another time, I'm out of space right now) AND it often comes out great without added sugar!
Now, this "recipe" is actually an idea I got from my across the hall neighbor, Esther. One week she wanted to share some with me, and we enjoyed this new little twist on an otherwise typical fruit soup so much that it has become a summertime treat by us, one that I specifically save for the end of Shabbos. My kids love it; they don’t see or feel any pieces and the color of the 'soup' once it's blended is very attractive. I have a feeling that it even tastes better this way as the tastes of the fruits are distributed evenly once it has been pureed AND it is thickened somewhat this way too. For those who DO like to have texture in their fruit soups, you needn't puree it completely. Just puree it partway. You will still get the benefits of taste and color by pureeing it somewhat, but will maintain the more chunky texture by leaving some of the fruit pieces inside it.
