Crunchy Chicken Fingers
My family loves the chicken fingers from Carlos and Gaby's but all that fried yummy food is not on the menu on a regular basis. This recipe come pretty close, but it baked and has some of the 'sauce' baked right into it.
12 ounces skinless, boneless chicken-breast halves, cut into strips
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon yellow mustard
1 cup packaged cornflake crumbs or 2 cups cornflakes, finely crushed ( I like them a little coarser)
1/4 teaspoon salt
Dash ground black pepper

can these be made in advance and frozen. If so please explain the procedure. Thank you. Michele

I assume so, though I have not yet tried it. As for the procedure of like foods, coat the chicken fresh, then freeze. Thaw completely then bake as directed.

Can you use bread crumbs instead?
